GRILIATO CEILING: ALUMINUM OR GALVANIZED. WHAT TO CHOOSE?

In this article, we will get acquainted with the differences between the Griliato galvanized and aluminum ceiling. It is very important for the AMTT plant team that customers have complete information about these two types of Griliato ceilings.

Full information (types, installation, features and benefits, as well as prices for griliato) can be viewed here ⇒

THE MAIN DIFFERENCE IS THE PRICE OF A GRILIATO PER M2

Now let’s figure out: what could be the reason for the price difference of more than 30%?!

If you want to buy Griliato, undoubtedly monitor the prices for this type of ceiling and as a result, you may get such a difference in price on the market. Many are surprised at this, and some even speak about the dishonesty of the suppliers of suspended ceilings.

Before making a request for a price, check the ceiling material: aluminum or galvanized steel.

At a certain stage of designing the ceiling of an object (shopping center), the customer asked the question: “Can you do this?” … we thought and said: “We can!”.

GRILIATO WEIGHT CHANGE CARDINALLY!/h3>

For example, we will take the most common type of griliato with a cell size of 100×100. When comparing 1 square meter of different types of griliato, we get the following weight:

Griliato aluminum 100×100 = 1.75-2 kg

Griliato galvanized 100×100 = 3.6-3.8 kg

The accuracy of the weight depends on the configuration of the supporting hangers and the wall bracket
Holding two samples of ceilings in our hands during our experiment, the difference, to put it mildly, is significant.

Aluminum ceiling griliato 100×100
Aluminum ceiling griliato 100×100 Height: 30mm

As mentioned above, the griliato configuration affects the weight – suspensions are of different lengths, the wall corner can also be aluminum and galvanized. Do not forget that griliato has different heights (30, 40, 50 mm), which is reflected in the weight.

MAIN PROS AND CONS OF GRILIATO CEILING (GALVANIZED AGAINST ALUMINUM)

The main advantage of an aluminum suspended ceiling is its quality and a 30-year warranty from the AMTT plant! Aluminum Griliato can be used outdoors, for sheathing canopies, arches, etc. At the same time, without worrying about the influences of the external environment.

Operating experience has shown that aluminum Griliato perfectly retains its geometry and flatness. The main disadvantage is the price in relation to the galvanized one. Defects after transportation can be a small nuisance, because aluminum is soft, but galvanizing is more rigid and doesn’t get impaired during travel, but this is a bigger rarity and often insignificant.
Galvanized Griliato is undoubtedly cheaper and this is a key plus. There might be difficulties with installation, cutting is done with great effort and it is more difficult to make the galvanized ceiling smooth than aluminum. Although the surface is galvanized, corrosion penetrates into the cuts, this must be taken into account, use in an aggressive environment is not desirable.

CONCLUSION:

Price is often the deciding factor, and when making a decision to buy, the budget may be limited. Everyone should carefully weigh the characteristics of the two types of Griliato.
